With the gaming industry seemingly on the brink of two major new hardware consoles from Sony and Microsoft, you have to wonder if technology giants Apple are starting to get itchy feet as they watch their fellow manufacturers dominate the home console market. Apple, on the other hand have become content with their priorities towards the mobile gaming market though, and thanks to the iPhone and their App Store, the company firmly sits at the top of the throne as far as gaming on a smartphone is concerned, although Android is slowly starting to close that gap.

New Assassin’s Creed 3 screenshots show breathtaking graphics

If you were under any doubt that Assassin’s Creed 3 is going one of this year’s most impressive games from a visual point of view, some new screenshots released early this week once again solidifies this. After Ubisoft unveiled an initial batch of screenshots for the upcoming game, we thought at the time that this is the finest that an Assassin’s Creed game has ever looked. However, there is one new screenshot in particular that has been released which is nothing short of mindblowing, and just shows how far Ubisoft have developed their graphics engine since AC1.
Minecraft on Xbox 360: Price established with release

Moderating MW3 cheaters remains a struggle for Activision

While console versions appear to be hack free for the moment, the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 is still very much prone to some sophisticated methods of cheating, which some users are only too happy to oblige. Activision has this week spoke about their ongoing efforts to reduce the amount of cheating that has been going on in the game, but has admitted that it remains a struggle for them to keep up with the sheer amount of shenanigans that is going on in online servers at the moment. Dead or Alive 5 demo gameplay makes non-NG3 owners jealous

Team Ninja may be feeling the heat at the moment due to conflicting Ninja Gaiden 3 reviews, but the developer does have another project on the way which may prove more appealing to fans – Dead or Alive 5. The latest addition to this long running franchise is due for release in September on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but if you have already bought Ninja Gaiden 3, you’ll find a bonus alpha demo of Dead or Alive 5 ready and waiting
