Staff Report LAHORE: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday released details of the assets declared by members of National and Punjab assemblies. According to the list, Noor Alam Khan is the richest Member of the Parliament, owning assets worth Rs32 billion while Jamshed Dasti is the poorest parliamentarian with an empty bank account. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has declared assets of Rs25 million without any car.

US hostage Weinstein appears in Qaeda video: SITE

HONG KONG: US hostage Warren Weinstein has appeared in an Al-Qaeda video for the first time since he was kidnapped in Pakistan in August last year. According to the US monitoring service SITE, the two minute, 40 second video was posted on jihadist forums by Al-Qaeda’s media arm as-Sahab on Sunday. There is no indication of when the video was made.
