وفاقی کابینہ نے متاثرین سیلاب کی بحالی کو اولین ترجیح قرار دیتے ہوئے بحالی کیلئے تمام وسائل استعمال کرنے کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا ہے۔ وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات قمر زمان کائرہ نے کہا ہے کہ یونیورسٹیوں کے معاملات کیس ٹو کیس دیکھے جائیں گے۔ وزیراعظم کی زیرصدارت وفاقی کابینہ کا اجلاس کے بعد میڈیا کو بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے قمر زمان کائرہ نے بتایا کہ ملک میں گندم کے ایک کروڑ اٹھہتر ہزار ٹن جبکہ چاول اور دالوں کا بھی وافر ذخیرہ موجود ہے۔ سیلاب زدہ علاقوں میں پچیس ایکڑ سے کم زمین والے کاشتکاروں کو کھاد اور بیج مفت فراہم کئے جائیں گے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ تمام اداروں کو حدود میں رہ کرکام کرنا چاہیئے۔ اگر کوئی بھی شخص یا ادارہ پاکستان کے اندر غیر جمہوری طریقے سے تبدیلی چاہتا ہے تو یہ قابل قبول نہیں ہوگا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ آج بھی کچھ سیاستدان اور میڈیا گروپ آمرانہ سوچ رکھتے ہیں۔
