After the Bannu mishap Punjab Home Department had declared seven out of 32 jails as the most sensitive. However, Rangers have expressed their unwillingness to provide security to the Adyala Jail.
JC recommends Azmat Saeed as SC judge

The Judicial Commission has recommended appointing LHC Chief Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed as the Supreme Court judge. He will be replaced by Justice Umer Ata Bandyal who is already serving as a senior judge Lahore High Court. The meeting of the Judicial Commission was held in Islamabad with Chief Justice of Supreme Court Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in the chair.

‘Bomb threat’ on Pakistan flight to Dubai

ಇಸ್ಲಾಮಾಬಾದ್: A bomb threat delayed a Pakistani passenger flight bound for Dubai by four hours, with officials clearing it to take off after searches found no explosive device on board. The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight was preparing for a scheduled 11:00 am (0600 GMT) departure from Lahore when an anonymous caller rang the airport claiming there was a bomb on board. “The plane has been thoroughly searched and no bomb was found, it has taken off at 3:00 pm,” Hasan told AFP.
