Israeli ministers held a special cabinet meeting at Ammunition Hill on Sunday to celebrate Jerusalem Day when the Jewish state captured the Arab eastern sector 45 years ago during the Six-Day War. Celebrations were lined up throughout the day with formal ceremonies, parties and the annual flag march through east Jerusalem to mark the "reunification" of the city which took place after the 1967 Middle East war. For Israel, which annexed the eastern sector in a move not recognised by the international community, Jerusalem is its "eternal and undivided capital." But for the Palestinians, east Jerusalem is where they want the capital of their promised state.
Torkham border slammed shut ahead of NATO summit

No urgency to reach deal over NATO supply: General Allen

The US commander in Afghanistan said he would not be disappointed if a long-sought agreement with Pakistan on supply routes failed to materialise by the end of the NATO summit in Chicago on Monday. General John Allen, who is also the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) commander, said in an interview he was confident a deal would eventually be struck but "whether it s in days or weeks, I don t know." Many Obama administration officials had hoped for an agreement with Islamabad in time for the Sunday-Monday summit that would end a nearly six-month ban prohibiting trucks in Pakistan from carrying supplies to NATO forces in neighboring Afghanistan.

Targeted attacks: Four more killed in Karachi
