Jimi Hendrix Biopic Won’t Use Musician’s Music; Hayley Atwell & Imogen Poots Join Cast

There has been a flurry of followup news in wake of the announcement that hip/hop star Andre 3000 is soon starting work on the Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side . First comes the update that All Is By My Side has added two leading ladies to its cast: Captain America star Hayley Atwell and Fright Night star Imogen Poots. No word yet on who the lovely ladies are playing in the film, but we expect that information soon

Video: ‘The Odd Life of Timothy Green’ movie trailer Disney is hoping to draw in families with a bit of counter-programming this summer, with The Odd Life of Timothy Green . The film is based on an original story by no-name actor Ahmet Zappa – who’s helping to develop the Tiki and Museum of the Weird movies for the Mouse House – with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Peter Hedges ( Pieces of April , Dan in Real Life ) handling screenwriting and directing duties. Odd Life of Timothy Green revolves around married couple Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green (Joel Edgerton), who have recently learned it is simply not feasible for them to have their own child together
Guillermo del Toro to Co-Direct 3D Stop-Motion ‘Pinocchio’ Flick

Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy series director Guillermo del Toro has been working (in some capacity) on the Jim Henson Company’s 3D stop-motion retelling of Pinocchio since 2008. Back in February 2011, it was announced he would produce the film – which is based on a darker treatment of Carlo Collodi’s partly-serialized 19th century novel “The Adventures of Pinocchio” – that del Toro co-wrote, in collaboration with Gris Grimly (the short “Cannibal Flesh Riot”) and Matthew Robbins. The latter also co-penned del Toro’s Mimic and collaborated with the filmmaker on the script for the Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark remake.

Luke Evans Officially in Talks for ‘Fast and the Furious 6′ Villain Role

Fast Six ) after Jason Statham passed on the opportunity, we now have confirmation that the former UK actor is currently in negotiations to join Gina Carano (and possibly David Tennant – ?) as a new addition to the lucrative street racing franchise.
