PPP chairman seeks US apology over Salala attack

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he is visiting the United States to bring Pak-Relations towards normalcy which are passing through a critical phase. Addressing a function of PPP workers in New York, Bilawal said President Obama should accumulate courage and offer apology on the Salala Check Post attack by NATO forces killing 24 Pakistani soldiers and he should also stop the drone attacks on Pakistan’s soil. Kodak patent deemed invalid in fight with Apple-RIM

SAN FRANCISCO: A US judge said a Kodak patent allegedly infringed upon by Apple and Blackberry-maker Research In Motion (RIM) was not valid, dealing another blow to the struggling photography pioneer. The preliminary ruling by International Trade Commission Judge Thomas Pender holds that neither Apple nor RIM infringed on Kodak’s intellectual property by using the technology in some of their gadgets.

CHICAGO: NATO leaders will endorse plans to hand over combat command in Afghanistan by mid-2013 on Monday and seek practical progress in opening routes to bring an international army of more than 130,000 back home from an unpopular, resource-draining war. The strategy for a gradual exit from Afghanistan is aimed at holding together the multinational force and maintaining security in spite of France’s decision to withdraw its troops earlier than scheduled. At a summit in Chicago, leaders of the 28-nation alliance will endorse plans for the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force to hand over command of all combat missions to Afghan forces by the middle of 2013 and for the withdrawal of most of the 130,000 foreign troops by the end of 2014.
Clinton meets President Zardari over supply line row

The blastoff of SpaceX s Falcon 9 rocket, carrying the unmanned Dragon and over half a ton of cargo toward the orbiting lab, was scheduled for 4:55 в (0855 GMT) Saturday from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in south Florida. ‘Bomb threat’ on Pakistan flight to Dubai

South Korea may limit exports to Iran on payment concerns: sources

SEOUL: South Korea is considering cutting its exports to Iran – mainly steel, cars and electronics – to reduce the risk of payment defaults as sanctions strangle Iran’s earnings from oil exports, two sources with knowledge of the issue said. Export quotas could be imposed on products including Samsung Electronics’ mobile phones and Hyundai Motor’s vehicles, one of the sources said. The sources, who could not be identified due to the sensitivity of the issue, both have direct knowledge of the matter through dealings with the government bodies responsible for trade with Iran and the possible imposition of the regulations by South Korea.
